Lower Columbia Fish Recovery Board

Cowlitz Restoration and Recovery Grants Program

The Cowlitz Restoration and Recovery (CRR) Program supports Upper Cowlitz basin salmon and steelhead recovery by providing funding for habitat projects in the Upper Cowlitz basin upstream of the Barrier Dam, and in the Lower Cowlitz mainstem river between its confluence with the Toutle River and the Barrier Dam.

The 2025 Cowlitz Restoration and Recovery (CRR) Grant Round is closed.

This program is supported by a $17 million dollar program established by Tacoma Power Utilities to implement projects that protect and promote the recovery on ESA-listed Upper Cowlitz and Cispus River salmon and steelhead. Learn more about Tacoma Power’s Cowlitz Restoration and Recovery Project.
